I spend a few minutes each day connecting with my ancestors and loved ones that have recently crossed over. For me, holding a stone as a meditation focal point, helps center me and allows my focus to return, when it wanders.
Shortly after I lost my dad, about a year ago, my guides gave me the insight to meditate with a stone that encourages ancestral connection, such as Petrified Wood or Trolleite. I have about seven now that I use regularly, my favorite to help with grief, loss and transition is Black Moonstone.
I channel a group of spirit beings that call themselves The Ancestors, and they have guided me on how to activate the Ancestor Altar Stones with special vibrations and light codes to help connect with ancestors, recently lost loved ones, guides and higher realms. Q: Why Ancestor Altar Stones?
A: I have always had a love affair with rocks and stones of all kinds. As a kid, I would come home with stones in my pockets All. The. Time. I would see one and it would speak to me and tell me it wanted to come home with me. I would put it in my pocket and bring it home. Anything from river rocks, stones from the beach, especially Petoskey stones, shiny ones, round ones, whatever called to me. I collected so many on vacation one year that we needed a bucket to bring them home. My mom was not happy about that!! It was the same way with these stones, they started calling to me and I began collecting them before I even knew they would become Ancestor Altar Stones.
Q: What if I am uncomfortable or don’t feel safe working with my ancestors? I know some of my family history and they were not good people.
A: There are unhealed ancestors in every lineage, just like there are wise and healed ancestors in every lineage. The wise and healed ancestors do want to help you, they want the very best for you. In working with my own lineage and doing an Ancestral Trauma session on my mom, my guides told me they were bringing in an unhealed ancestor because he needed to be there for the healing session, but warned me not to address him directly. They escorted him in to the session and escorted him out when it was complete. This particular ancestor caused a lot of trauma to the 4 generations that followed, and needs considerable healing.

Q: How do I begin working with my ancestors?
A: I often recommend beginning with a gentle meditation practice. I love an Ancestor Altar to focus the energy, and I found in my practice that holding a stone gave me a focal point to come back to when my attention wandered. (That was the spark that became Ancestor Altar Stones)
To begin, sit quietly for a few minutes and ask a question; ask for guidance, ask for a sign, or ask who they are. They may take some time to respond, so don’t get discouraged. And they may respond in different ways; you may get images, you may smell your Grandmother’s perfume or her freshly baked cookies. You may get nothing during the meditation and later get a sign when you are out and about.
Another way to help focus the energy, is to use a signal that tells your ancestors now is the time you want to connect, I love lighting a candle or picking up my altar stone as this signal to connect.
Q: I don’t see a stone I like, when will you get more stones in?
A: I am always getting new stones in, I work with a local supplier that is constantly getting fresh supplies. I have a whole treasure trove of stones in stock, most of them are not on the site yet.
